I am one of eight children in my family 3 sisters in-law and 1 brother in-law. I have five brothers who made sure I was strong in personality and physically. They taught me to always dust off my knees and try again no matter how hard. I have two sisters who encouraged my education at every turn and taught me to think and analyze every situation for the best outcome before acting. I have a dog, Millie, who I will talk about way too much. She is a 5-year-old Jack Russell and Italian Greyhound mix. I have two god-children a godson and a goddaughter who are month apart in age.

I am an avid sports fan I love the Rangers and the Astros. I was born a Cowboy fan and I will die one. I am one of those girls who actually watches football games and might not answer back of you as a question in the middle of a play. I love to be outside, especially in the water and sunshine.

Music was my first love and a huge passion in my life. I love to sing Jazz and blues mostly but you can catch me humming opera before a hard day. I was a vocal performance major before I found my second passion in the communications industry. I am also a ballroom dancer I specialize in Swing, Charleston and Lindy Hop.

I am have a creative mind combined with strong problem-solving skills that make me a great asset to every company I have worked for. I started working at age 12 babysitting for families around the area. By age 16 I was a nanny, attending high school and had my first retail job at U.S. Toys. I learned the value of money, time, and budgeting in these first few years.

At age 17 I worked as a cashier and customer service representative at Tom Thumb. I loved this job because I got to interact with many customers throughout the day. I still consider this job to be one of the best I’ve had. I thrived in the fast paced environment. I became very popular in the store and even began to have regulars that would wait in long lines just to see me. I loved learning to connect with people from all walks of life in a 1-2 minute time frame. I continued working nights and weekends at this job for years while I pursued other jobs full-time.

While I attended college at OSU I had the opportunity to be trained in the Residential Leadership College Program. I became a leader among my peers as a freshman. I was the Homecoming Committee Chair for Residential Hall Association (RHA) for America’s Greatest Homecoming in 2014. I also served as the Community President for Iba Hall. In both of these jobs I was in charge of planning budgets, purchasing materials, staying connected to the residents in the building and their needs, creating plans for hall improvement and fostering community engagement through planning and carrying out 20 events for residents each semester.

My sophomore year I was selected to be a Leadership Mentor for OSU’s Housing and Residential Life. I was the youngest person selected for the position and I learned many lessons in time management as well as the joy of filling out extensive paperwork from my more senior coworkers. During my two years I taught leadership courses to over 150 incoming freshman each semester. I ran the Residential Leadership College and identified candidates who the program would most benefit. My favorite part was mentoring 35 students with weekly meetings each semester throughout their first year at OSU.
